FakeID are ready to rock HTCC

Exciting news, Chris Douglas has recently joined our club as a player/coach of our men’s 1st team,

Chris has played cricket to a very high level in the Surrey Premier league and coached both international and county players early in their careers including the likes of former England test opening batsmen Dom Sibley and current England wicketkeeper batsman Jamie Smith to name a few.

Chris is available for both private 1-2-1 coaching or private group coaching throughout the season at a very reasonable price where he hopes to assist in developing our youth / colt players skill sets. Please contact HTCC for Chris' details Welcome Chris to the Trin!!

Announcement: New Coach

What a day !!&nbsp;25 children and 15 adults visited the home of cricket for an afternoon of cricket and coaching. Lots of fun had and loads learnt. Thanks to all the parents who came and watched. Lots of tired children and a great way to get ready for the season. All the boys Impeccably behaved as usual Up the Trin!

A Trip to the Home of Cricket

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Tony Lewis - a true gent, great confident, fantastic&nbsp;friend, and an unsung hero in the development of our club to where it is today. Our thoughts are with Rebecca, Ollie, and Ella. We shall be in touch in due course with how the club intends to honour his memory.

Tony joined us from Hurstpierpoint CC and played his first game for Trinity 3XI on 10th May 2008 at Billingshurst, opened the batting and scored 60 runs and then took 4 wickets with his (often unique) slow loopy bowling, accompanied by his wide beaming smile. That 60 remained his top score for the club, but he improved on his bowling figures with a best of 5 for 26 two years later against Roffey. In his seasons at the club, Tony took exactly 200 wickets at 19.15 apiece and scored 911 runs - laterally unselfishly in the lower order, having captained a number of our adult sides throughout those years whilst bringing the next generation of Trinity players through.

He will be missed by all at the club. Rest in Peace Papa T.&nbsp;

Every year there are a number of activities that need to get done before the cricket season starts. The ECB setup a national initiative called&nbsp;<a href="https://www.ecb.co.uk/news/3041696" rel="nofollow">"Get Set Day"&nbsp;</a>as a focal point for clubs up and down the country to prepare, sort things out and come together as a club to get ready for the new season.We are looking for as many volunteers to pop down to the club on Saturday 5th April between 10:30am - 2:30pm to help get stuck in. We have a list (it isn't massive!) of things that we could really do some help with.

PLAYERS WANTED!

welcome everyone to a new season at HTCC. The committee have been working hard behind the scenes this winter to streamline our processes and improve our comms to you all. Three key things for you to note:

1. All our communication with our membership will now be conducted through our new website and Spond. Our thanks to Tim Martin for his hours of work on this throughout the winter.

2. Our Friday night summer training at the rec commences on 25th April. Relevant sessions times for our Juniors and details of their fixtures and coaches can be found here. Further comms will be issued closer to the time on our new model for volunteering on Friday nights. HTCC is powered by volunteers, please help us to help you.

3. Our get set day will be held on Saturday 5th April (next weekend). We would very much appreciate any time you could give to spruce up the clubhouse and ground (for example put covers back on the frames, carpet clean, pressure wash the external club house). We are in particular need of any plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills!

With the weather turning warmer we are all getting excited about the upcoming season and looking forward to another great year at HTCC. UP THE TRIN!!!
