JUNIOR CRICKET

At HTCC, we strive to introduce boys and girls to the exciting world of cricket, fostering a deep-rooted passion for the sport that lasts a lifetime. Our mission is to enhance their physical skills and tactical knowledge while encouraging older children to join our senior teams in both competitive and friendly matches. Cricket here is for everyone—no matter their skill level—as long as they share a genuine love for the game.

Summer 2026 Details

Summer training will start on Thursday 16th April for age groups U13 and U14, the other Junior Groups (ages groups U6 to U12) will train on a Friday evening starting April 17th. More details can be found below on timings for each group. This year we have had to accommodate more groups, more children and more coaches, so it’s going to be incredibly busy at the Club on Friday.

These sessions will run up to half term, and then restart afterwards, and then continue until Friday 31st July.

Fixtures will be sent out via Spond when they become available on Play-Cricket

Girls’ Cricket & Junior Pathway Update

We are excited to be expanding our junior cricket structure this season to create an even stronger and clearer pathway for all young players at Horsham Trinity Cricket Club.

Following a very successful first year for our Under 11 Girls team, we are now developing our girls’ section further by introducing:

  • Under 12 Hardball Girls Team
  • Under 11 Softball Girls Team

This development allows us to provide age-appropriate and experience-appropriate cricket, ensuring girls can progress confidently from softball into hardball cricket within a supportive team environment.

How it will work

From Under 9 onwards, girls will join our combined U9–U12 Girls Squad. Players will then be selected into teams based on:

  • Age
  • Cricket experience
  • Readiness for softball or hardball cricket

This structure creates a clear pathway from junior cricket through to senior cricket, mirroring the opportunities available across the boys’ section.

Why we’re making this change

By separating and strengthening both our girls’ and boys’ pathways:

  • We increase playing opportunities across the club
  • We create more team places
  • We ensure appropriate development at every stage
  • We support long-term player progression into adult cricket

Our aim is simple: to enable more children to play cricket at Trinity, enjoy the game, and develop their skills in a positive and inclusive environment.

Information

For our Junior cricketers there is the opportunity to attend training for their age group and from age groups U9-U16 play games in league,

COACHES & MANAGERS

We employ a number of ECB qualified coaches who are on hand at Thursday and Friday night sessions to coach the children in the technical aspects of cricket.

All of our age group managers and administrators are volunteers.

MEMBERSHIP

During the 2025 season we had 150 junior members on our books aged 5-18 years and we are likely to be full again in many age groups this season. If your child(ren) are new to the club you can contact us via email ([email protected]) or use the registration form below to sign up and be put on a waiting list.

KEEPING IN TOUCH

Once you have become a member you will be added to an age group Spond group which we now use for all club and age group communications. This allows Team Managers to coordinate availability for matches, pick a team and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.

KIT

All Horsham Trinity clothing is optional but most children choose to wear it and feel more connected to their team and club. See this page  and there is a dedicated page about Hardball cricket kit found on this page.
